FOREIGN SCENE

U.S DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, JOE BIDEN HAS LABELED PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP THE FIRST RACIST TO BECOME U.S. PRESIDENT.

BIDEN, WHO WAS VICE PRESIDENT UNDER BARACK OBAMA, THE FIRST BLACK U.S. PRESIDENT, MADE THIS ASSERTION WHILE FIELDING A QUESTION AT A SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION ROUNDTABLE FROM A HEALTHCARE WORKER CONCERNED ABOUT THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT CALLING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC THE CHINA VIRUS.

HE RESPONDED BY SAYING IT WAS ABSOLUTELY SICKENING HOW PRESIDENT TRUMP DEALS WITH PEOPLE BASED ON THE COLOUR OF THEIR SKIN, THEIR NATIONAL ORIGIN, WHERE THEY’RE FROM.

PRESIDNENT DONALD TRUMP DID NOT HESISTATE TO RESPOND WHEN HE GOT THE OPPORTUNITY, SAYING HIS ADMINISTARTION DID FAR AHEAD OF THE OBAMA-BIDEN TENURE IN TERM OF TOLERATING BLACK AMERICANS.

IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT A NUMBER OF U.S. PRESIDENTS OWNED SLAVES OR SUPPORTED POLICIES INCLUDING THE REPRESSION OF NATIVE AMERICANS AND SEGREGATION OF BLACK AMERICANS REMAIN ONE OF THE TOP MOST DABATED ISSUES IN THE U.S SINCE TRUMP CAME INTO THE WHITEHOUSE.

THE BIDEN-TRUMP EXCHANGE; MARKS AN ESCALATION IN WHAT HAD ALREADY BEEN A HEATED CLASH ON RACE IN THE CAMPAIGN BEING WAGED BETWEEN THE TWO CANDIDATES, WHO ARE BOTH WHITE, AHEAD OF THEIR NOV.3RD ELECTION CONTEST.
